I just got back from the show! It was great. I a there from 30 mins after open to 30 mins before close. Not oly did the sponsor of the show (golizards.com) allow me to hand out fliers, but he had a vendor not show up so he gave me his table for the day! I had my 3X5 Yellow Glasden Flag and all my matierials layed out. I spoke to lots of people passing by, and had fliers at almost every vendor table. Several vendors said they wold take fliers back to thier shops and others said they would send a flier out with animals they where shipping to Internet customers! One of them who is going to check into it is RODENTPRO! They may even put a banner link to USARK or PIJAC on thier website!
For a last min, thrown-together effort, I'd say it went exceedenly well, and was super-easy! I would strongly incoruage anyone else who has a local show to do the same, it only cost me $12 in yellow paper (and a flag that I wanted anyway
).
And, my wife brought home the newest eddition to our clan, a yearling RTB. She is a cutie and very docile. (My wife and the new snake! )
Anyway, if you were thinging about doing something like this, go for it. It was amazingly no-hassle.
