Liasis olivaceus (olive python)
« on: February 25, 2009, 08:07:36 PM »
Just wondering if anyone on the forum had any???  In the future i would love to have one.  Experience, suggestions, comments, concerns???  Again, in the future, not any time soon.  I would like to have a house and be settled down and all that first.  My chondro's take up too much of my time and apartment already!

I guess arent really so much giants, but they are still pretty big snakes.  Anyway they are beautiful!

Olive pythons are very beautiful!  I don't own any nor do I know anyone who does.  They are still pretty rare in the pet trade.

I know they are successfully bred in the states now, no market for them i guess.  But hopefully when i do decide to pick one up, they will be readily available!

All I know of them is what my Ozzie buddy tells me about them from his treks in the wilderness ....and there's a guy on one of the gecko forums that I haunt ....he has a "young'ish" one ..10 feet or so.

I think they are one of the more aesthetically pleasing boids ..with their gorgeous "green iridescence" ...but again, hubby would flip his wig if I asked to bring one home. Gotta work on that...   :stirthepot:
