popping when they breathe

both of my retics are starting to have a crackling sound when they breath i have there humidity at around 65 in both tubs i know retics can make that sound sometimes when they breathe i just don't want to be freaking if its nothing to worry about

is what it is bro... if it's not retained shed in the nostril then you need to be checking for bubbles. btw, recommended humidity for a retic is 70-80%. If there's any type of wood, wood chips, or wood shavings in those racks you'll never get it to stay right for him either.

i just switched the aspen for news paper now and sprayed it down i little hopefully that works

i took them off aspen and put them on news paper  but now the female sounds like shes whistling when she breathes the male is fine now

how are you heating the cage? what are your COOL side SURFACE temps on the floor? What type of water bowl are you using and where is it located?

there heated with flexwatt the cool side is 80 the warm side on the hot spot is 92 and the water bowl is on the cool side

the flexwatt is under one end of there tubs and the water
bowls are cheap plastic bowls
