No, we don't need any more bad press... but I don't think we're going to be seeing any news flashes about anyone being slaughtered by their pet ball python, lol. I'll have to do some reading about this situation when I fully wake up, I'm not real familiar with it. Can't stand flippers though.

please do read. more or less, these guys are buying high end morphs, selling them on penny auctions, that means with everybody bidding on these, the flippers get rich, and one person walks away with a cheap morph... in ite long run, this will posibally shoot the value of snakes all to shit.. the reason that these snakes cost so much money is because the breeder puts years of effort in creating them,,,, all so 2 get rich quickers can crash it.
if your willing for a long read,,, please go to BP.net and read the whole thread on them.. this way youll understand everything........ and BTW, dont think that there gonna stop at balls,,,, thell be coming for the giants next, so thell be selling your alls favorite snakes just to any joe schmo for 5 dollars....  the press is going to love that.
  thanks donnie!

theres alot of big breeders that are frowning on it.  right now, (as far as we know), mike wilbanks is the only one that they are getting their snakes from,,, (seems like hees taking a little heat for it too).  so saying that, i feel that all of the snakes that they recieve will be healthy. but what about when they start getting snakes from shady people? do you not think that there just gonna pass the snakes on to the public?   theres ALOT to go into,,, so ill just give a short run down.. they had posted some pics of thier "facility" but they deleted the pics when people started bashing them for their setups.   they said theydid not have a QT set up because all the snakes came from the same place, but yet THEIR breeding rack was right beside the hatchling rack where they kept the snakes from mr. wilbanks WTF???    ant way, thats not even the tip of the iceberg.. please go to BP.net OR fAUNA and take a little time to read about it..  ballbids.com has a FB page and everytime someone from the reptile comunity ask a question they dont like, or cant answer,, they just delete the post from the page.  these guys are super shady and no good for ALL of us.

here is one of the latest quotes from one of the owners.

 BallBids.com:
Tony, i am sorry i had to delete your post but you can not post things that say we look bad and such. We are trying to make sure that people that come to our site for the first time do not see negativity. A lot of these posts are scaring others away that could be potential fans. You need to remember that this is a business not just someones wall. Thanks again

I've been banned from their facebook page but I am still going to keep tabs on it all and do what I can.

Im not going to share a lot but a few things I have uncovered was they operate 100% in Kentucky but have their business registered in Florida.

They claim they do not have to follow state laws because they are a national company on the internet.

They were in direct violation of Kentucky state law by raffling the fire ball python.

I got him to say "We have no need to quarantine because I trust Mike Wilbanks wouldnt ship a sick animal.   But I am now assembling a quarantine rack as we do now need it as I do not want my personal pets or the auction animals to get sick"

Apparently he doesn't realize animals can get sick through shipping?  And it sounds like he is keeping his auction animals in  the same area as his pets?

Spooky Mentioned that Mike was where they got their animals.  Until further information is drawn we can not say as to whether or not he knew what these animals were going into.    I personally would like to believe he would not risk his name in the Ball Python industry but I do not know him personally.

       thanks for the update keithdude!!!!!!

I am still in Europe but I had some time and read most of this thread so I want to make a quick post. I have earned an honest reputation in this business. I spend way more than In necessary to give my animals only the best care because I truly love them and care about them. I produce quality ball pythons and I ship promptly to customers all over the world. That is why I have a good reputation in this business.

My first reaction is one that I still subscribe to. My job is to produce quality animals and follow through with husbandry and breeding advice. I do not believe that my job includes qualifying every buyer to make sure they rise to some standard that meets my approval and I certainly do not believe that my reputation becomes tied to every person I sell to. That is completely ludicrous.

These guys are young and will hopefully learn from this experience. Some of the comments were beyond harsh, but, hey that's the nature of the Internet and to some extent the reptile community at times.

In the end, because of the way the owners of ballbids have handled much of this and the problem with security on their website or whatever caused the same person to win multiple auctions, they have become toxic. So, we at least, will not be supplying any more ball pythons to them. If they continue, someone will supply them, but I just do not want the hassle of supplying such a controversial business. Now everyone please stop emailing me about this. I have been away and have not even looked at my emails until tonight. Put your efforts to productive use and email HSUS or something. I'm on your side.
