About a month ago I get a phone call. It goes like this. "Is this Roland', "The snake guy", 'I have got a Boa here thats sick, do you want it".

I begin to ask what is wrong with the snake, I can't take a chance with it possibly infecting my snakes. He says' "Come and fetch it or it goes in the Deep Freezer". Cut a long story short, 45 minutes later I pick up a Boa of about 5 foot with a severe RI, who does not look too good, and seems dehydrated as well.

I immediately put him on high heat, up the humidity a bit and nebulise him every day for 30 - 40 minutes.

Three weeks later he eats a small Rat and sheds in one lovely unbroken piece.

A couple of days later, Glorious Weather, I put him on the lawn.

I just need to add that the option of taking him to a vet was always present, but I was confident to treat him myself.
Mission Accomplished, Full Recovery.
