Hello Iam really thinking about getting a milksnake at the reptile show in Cleveland on july 17 and I have everything down but one thing I want to ask is can the milksnake be on papper towels?. It won't be all the time just until i get to the store to get the aspen shavings.  :lizard:

Yes, paper towels will work temporarily. What subspecies of milksnake are you planning to get? Personally, I don't like aspen all that much. I would recommend Eco-Earth, or cypress mulch.
If it has scales, I want it. Period.

I have always been for pure newspaper bedding.   Easy to clean.  Doesn't harbor bacteria.   There are other ways to keep humidity up.  And in a lot of places depending on the milk your states natural humidity can be enough.

Good choice, my favorite milksnakes. This was my big female, she was around 5'.

Temperature should be as follows:
During the day, the hot side should be 85-92 degrees, and the cool side should be 78-83 degrees.
At night, the hot side should be 76-80 degrees, and the cool side should be 72-75 degrees.

I paid $200 for her, she was a great eater, very docile, never struck or anything.

Yes they do, but they will always be hatchlings and with some there may be a reason they are priced that low.. The majority of them are at least $100.

In Ohio Colubrids are very over bred.  At the Cleveland expo there is so much competition with going to a few different tables you can haggle people down quite easily.
