Good looking retic. Hope I don't offend you at all by saying this... but who sold that to you as a purple? The way you tell is the sword down the center of her head. There's one person that comes to mind who loves to sell people lavenders and call them purples. Regardless, it's the exact same gene, and she's still a beautiful animal.

Here is a pic of my purple as an example.



And here is an example of a random lavender I found online.



Do you see the difference? Not that one is any better than the other and if I were you I'd be proud to own the animal you have. Just if the person you bought it from charged any more for purples than they do for lavenders, I'd be looking for some of my money back. And don't buy the line that they darken up with age... that's simply not true. Again, great looking animal at any rate.

Way to look out guys,,,I can't see the pic of the lav. alb. there is just a box with an X in it. I got the snake from a Tracy McKay in Texas and they advertised her as a purple, well if it's not then I'm calling her back, I like the snake, very docile and don't really want a refund but do want some compensation for it not being what they said it was. I guess you are talking about the long stripe that would be the blade of the sword and the handle up top, mine doesn't have that handle, so is that what makes the difference between a lav. and a purple? Let me know so I can call them back with proof, thanks again guys,,,,   I paid $415 shipped,,,,

sounds like the price was fair, even for a lavender. yes, I'm talking about the shade fo the blade, handle doesn't really matter. Sounds like you have an awesome retic there regardless!

wouldn't sweat it too much, they'll probably deny it til then end anyway. In their mind maybe they believe that really is a purple.
