Alot of my snakes have been eating f/t thawed for years, and I would say a good third of them are what I call "lazy eaters," like your little burm. Some of them just bite it, pull it down, and start eating it - no coiling done, EVER. Others don't even come get it, I just place it in their bin and they'll take it, again, no striking or coiling. Lazy snakes I say; spoiled by their easy, struggle-free food items, LoL.

I thaw out all mine in zip locks backs floating in Warm/Hot water. I just plug up the sink and set them in there, since I'm thawing 80+ rodents at a time.

Also a good idea would be to have a hair dryer on hand. Frank will use my hair drier a lot when he's feeding the critters, and it seems to always help and does the trick!
Cheers!

Don't have a tempgun, but I hold it close to a hot lightbulb right before offering it, think I'll look for one in the pet store or order one on the internet.  I use a 1' forcep to keep my distance.  Her normal disposition is ok, still quite the nervous type and she definately likes her privacy, both during feeding and resting.
I've found after thawing out a frozen thawed rat I take a blow hair dryer and use it. This warms the rat up as well fluffs the fur up so it appears more live than frozen thawed. Really always works great for me my carpet python won't touch a feeder with it's fur laying down.

By no means you aren't  LOL I've been using the good ole hair dryer for this for years and when it dies I buy a new one. Never gets used on my hair just on feeders
Seriously makes a big difference in the way a snake is attracted to it's food.
