Nice looking snake is he naturaly that dark or near shedding? He has great color

Great looking Ball Python!!!! Also, really nice picture. My two 8 year old adult Balls actually get really dark like that right before their eyes turn for their shed. It's amazing how dark they really get before they shed but also mine are outdoors a lot so are naturally darker.

Thanks, he shed about an hour after I took this shot. Was told he accepted live only. He took a f/t med rat with gusto. He's a little timid but over all a cool snake.
Let him spend a couple days with his meal and I will get another shot. Nice to get back into them.

That's really great he's taking F/T. I was a live feeder years ago and switched over with no problems at all and really glad I did it greatly reduces the risk to the snake and sure took a ton of stress off me from worrying abut one of them taking a bite. I don't criticize anyone that does but try really hard to encourage F/T feedings. Just me I guess. LOL
Will be looking forward to seeing more pictures!!

Gorgeous snake. I was wondering the same thing if he was gonna shed or not too lol. Looks really healthy and love how the eye has a slight purplish tint on my computer screen lol.
