these all are pics of my only Ball. i have him for 2 weeks now and i didnt find a name yet  the photos are a bit blurry as they all are taken with a camcorder lol ive also made a youtube vid of these pics and some clips. the video can be found here: Ball Python handling

he found a new hobby: lying in his waterbowl (he only does that when he is not hiding in his tree lol)

Congrats on the new addition, have you thought of a name yet??

Just curious also, does he still lay in his water bowl?  And do you use a heat lamp and/or under the tank heater??

no i don't have a name yet, although the family is suggesting some ridiculous names

what i think is that i was laying in the bowl because he was in shed, he shed a week ago and since then he didn't go in anymore.
about the heating: I've got both an infrared lamp and an under the tank heater. with the warm weather of these days i only use the undertank heater.

i got a new camera so i hope i can make some better pics soon

I find it rather concerning that your snake spends all of its time soaking in the water dish though. Occasionally is to be expected but not constantly.

he does not do that anymore, i think it is related to him shedding, as it started when he gotten those white eyes, and he stopped doing it after he had shed

Well that's good to hear in a way.  Usually they'll lay in their water bowls constantly either due to mites or the humidity being too low and they need help with sheds.  Using that heat lamp will dry out the air making it harder for him to shed.

I'm with ya on this one Tara!!!! Heat lamps really suck out humidity not to mention force too much intense heat in one direction. There are just way better and safer ways to heat an enclosure that is a lot more beneficial to a snake.
