Kinda big for a two year old ball python. Just keep it cluttered so he doesnt get stressed from too much space. Also like donnie said the lights arent needed. If you want lights for viewing them thats great but try not to leave it on all day. Just turn it on and off when you want to look at your snake. They will hide most of the day in the dark so don't expect to see him out and about alot :) Do you have an undertank heater for him too? How are your temps and humidity looking so far?

well the lamps are the main heating source. i do have an undertank heater for when the temp in the room drops too far. the temps are still rising, and around 70F in the warm side.
i moved some things around, and created a bigger part of shadow, in fact 2 places, one at the warm and one at the cooler side.

Well try to use the undertank heater for your primary heat source. Ball Pythons get there heat from the belly not the top. They have a different nervous system than us and belly heat is more beneficial to them for digestive reasons as well :)

All of my enclosures have a heating pad UNDER the floor of the enclosure to insure the snakes don't stay on it over prolonged periods and get dried out or too warm. They usually will thermo-regulate but sometimes they do get lazy and sit in a hot spot why mine are all under the enclosure or tank bottom.

That tank will be fine for a snake that size with the extras you have in it for taking up extra space.
It looks really nice and I'm sure it will be suitable for a two year old. My five foot Ball Pythons are in a five by two by two enclosure each and they still have room to spare and if it's too much the snake will curl up in a corner or in a tight area to feel more secure.

70 on the warm side? your house must be very cold. Average room temperature is about 72. You need a hot side measured on the floor where the snake would be, not in the air at the back of the cage that is right around 90 degrees, and the cool side needs to never drop below 75.

Why? The terrarium looks good. But lights are just unnecessary. They dry out the air, lowering humidity. Ball pythons are not arboreal, they spend almost all of their time on the ground.  as long as they air stays above 75, you're golden. How much longer until you get your snake?

I really never understood why people have so many lights on their enclosures. You see some large tanks with a heat lamp, a UV lamp and a black light also and I always couldn't figure out how a tank could possibly ever have a cool area with all those lights piled across the top.

That has to be nothing but a bad thing for just about any snake to be honest.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone but I see them on YouTube all the time and there's just no way that poor snake could help but dehydrate in an enclosure like that.

I have one bright stick on each enclosure and it's only used at night for my cage checks but then again during the day all of mine are getting day light.
