New im guessing ATB?Problem

I recently got a male tree boa, from a pet store, because of  its very bad aggression. Everyone was scared of it lol. And i brought him home. Now I got a problem. He doen't lunge at the glass of the tank, but at the wire lid. He has been getting stuck on the wire lid alot, and recently I have noticed that 1 of his (fangs) its broke in half. I am just wondering if that is bad? and if that will affect his feeding time ect.
Also if there is any way of stopping him from doing that? People have said no to me but just wanted to see other peoples sug. instead of the pet stores.
Also I think he is a Amazon tree Boa? not sure. I don't know how to post pics.

I can try feeding him gain but I don't think thats the problem, but who knows. He is just very aggressive, and I don't want to see him getting himself hurt on the wire.

A suggestion for you if he's not feeding aggressive and doing these actions perhaps replace the wire top for his safety with plexi glass. You can measure the top and go to just about any hardware store and have it custom cut and then drill holes (small) on the end that you want to be your cool end of the enclosure so you will have some air exchange.

I've done this for ages and at least it prevents the snake from hurting itself and getting tangled up.
Their teeth will grow back in time but it incurs the risk of abscess and infection setting in as well.

that top is pretty low probably. Give  him some hides on the hot side and the cool side. And yeah, feed him up. cover the back and sides of that tank to help him feel more secure.

Well yea its sorta low he's in a 30 tall, but maybe not tall enough becuase he can still stike at the lid. also the sides of the tank are accually paint so it seems darker in the tank. Bought it like that.

Also he never goes on branches, and he rarly goes in a hide outs..plus all myn are too small so i have to buy a bigger 1. Hes about 6 1/2 feet long amazinly. I didn't think that can get that big.

Tree demons are known for striking at heating elements - they've got sensitive labial pits.  I'd go with 1softkiss's advice and put in the drilled plexiglass instead of the mesh/screen.

 I put plexi on intead...bu he really hates it lol.. Now he keeps on smashing his head into it now. He is just very upset it seems. Im doing some research on them, and trying to figure out what to do. They say you can house them in tall tubs.? keeps it more humid, but he's so aggressive that it would be hard to change his water ect. It's even hard now to do that. Also I tried feeding him. Nope. He would taste and then nothing.
Thankx for the advice though. Maybe he will get use to it. First time owning 1 so still gotta figure everything out, plus I didn't choose an easy one to start with. My mistake, but it was worht it.
