Runny stools
« on: March 07, 2010, 06:03:45 PM »
Ok right now i am dealing with a very sick puppy that may have parvo we been to the vet 3 times and tomorrow will be fourth time so I am maxed out when it comes to funds but... My two new BP's , well ONE of the two has very watery mushy stools, but he is big fat and healthy "lookin" he has a great appetite and shows no signs of illness, what are the possible scenarios and is there anything i can do to possibly fix it at home? Im so stretched thin this month with bills and vet bills and then i been so very sick i lost lots of hours at work so any advice?

Sounds like a vet visit or at least a stool sample at the least is in order.

yeah, definately take a stool sample in and have it checked for parasites. Might need a dose of flagyl put in him.

well then unfortunately his big sexy self may be finding a new home cuz really this puppy is killing all of my excess funds and right now he is my top priority especially since he has been incontact with my other dog and my friends dogs, we shall see though i will call the vet tomorrow and see what he can do for me. The snake is in quarantine. hopefully the vet will cut me a deal. I just cant look at this 12 week old puppy, skin and bones not eating for days and not being able to hold fluids and put him aside for the snake it just doesnt seem right but the snake will get what he needs even if i have to forfeit him to someone who can get it for him. Thanks guys....
