She responded to the antibiotics really well. She no longer has that "bleached" look.
My vet said that he has only seen something similar to this in only two other cases, and the major cause was a dirty environment. BUT, he knows us, he's been to our home before and seen all our setups and cages. He knows that we don't allow for dirty cages. He did mention that the two cases he has seen were both female snakes, and during breeding season. He has questioned if this might be something hormonal.
So all in all, we don't have a definite answer as to what this might have been, but she responded well with the antibiotics. I'm just glad that this has cleared up with the simplicity of medication. Thanks for checking back and seeing how everything was going for her
