Hello from the UK
« on: March 02, 2010, 07:15:28 PM »
Just thought I'd check in finally and say hi - Tara added me on Facebook a while back which led me here and I stalked you all as a guest for a while before finally signing up!!!  Any other UK members knocking about????

Anyway, my name is Alan, I come from a sunny seaside town in the UK called Bournemouth - apparently the sea air is very good for the bones so it's full of retired people but is also a well known holiday town with 7 miles or so of beach so its a bit like being on holiday all year!!!!

I'm married, two kids, both girls - aaahhhhhh - one 2 and the other 4.  In terms of reptiles, I used to keep the giants in terms of snakes - Retics, Burms and Scrubs but once the kids came along I went in the dwarf boa direction and most of my collection now consists of Central American and Nicaraguan Boa's which I have fallen in love with - I also have a pair of Pearl Island Boas (Boa Constrictor Sabogae).

Most of the collection are morphs and most come from the US originally - they nearly all come from 2 breeders whom I'm sure you guy's have heard of - Rich Ihle (John Bergman) and John Berry.

Well I must leave now - its just after midnight here - I guess I will catch up with you all at one point or another.

Cheers.

Rich Ihle is tops in the Boa Breeders family!!! Big Props to him and if your Boas came from him best believe they are of the greatest quality!!! I learned a lot from him about Boas actually.

We all welcome you to Dark Side Alan and that's one heck of a list of reptiles you keep.
Time to post pictures I use them in our promotional videos with permission naturally :O)

Cheers.  Yeah, Rich's Boa's are amazing and John (Bergman, who I deal with at Salmonboa) works amazingly hard to get them here for me!!!!!  The one's I have from John Berry are stunning too - and easier to get hold of as he's based back in the UK now.

I have no problem at all with you using pics etc - I am no pro though so be warned, although i'm getting better!!!
