Truthfully? I have a .357 magnum and a 30-06 loaded in my bedroom at all times and I'll be damned if some fool tries to come into my house and remove my animals. I have every right under the law to protect my family, property, and myself. I am being very serious about this. I'll warn you to get out of my house and off my property and if you don't off with your damn leg. I don't tolerate shot like that here. I don't like the government telling me how to live in the first place but telling me that what I own would be illegal too? Hell no. Don't screw with a redneck and his shit. I swear on my life I would do everything in my power to stop anyone from taking my family from me. My snakes are my family and I'll be damned if someone who shouldn't have any control of my life period tried to remove them from my home.

Gotta see them enforce this if it does pass the manpower alone will cost them a friggin fortune to enforce these so called regulations they are trying to impose.

Kicker is they have to have an eye witness that can testify that someone has a specific snake in their possession before they can even get a court judgment to enter the premises to collect a snake that has been reported in someone's possession.

I already looked REAL deep into the legistics and hear say isn't grounds for a search warrant.

It is interesting to see people's responses to these questions. I wonder if the government officials revising and mauling over these types of legislation realize that they could be possibly setting up a black market... forcing people that care about their hobby/business/animals to illegal measures, when they would otherwise cooperate if it would guarantee their ability to have their  reptiles.

The reptile industry, despite being relatively under-the-radar, is a big one. We all know that. Can you imagine the large percent of us that would be the make-up of a mass illegal network. Smuggling, from otherwise law-abiding citizens, would go through the roof, IMO.

Two points i stressed in all my correspondence to the senators and president.

(!) If all these regulations are imposed on the reptile owners they will rebel against anyone else NOT being under these guidelines. If one pet is acceptable by all rights all should be. If some aren't then eventually it will come down to NONE are acceptable to keep in captivity.

(2) End result people that can no longer afford to maintain their collections or freak out worrying about getting caught with ILLEGAL reptiles will either release them rather than watch them suffer or out of concern for having huge fines imposed on them.

Now, seriously if they push the Reptile Nation into hiding how they ever gonna have a close count of reptiles in captivity? At least at this point and time they have an approximate number the Black Market would totally be massed with reptile owners and then that number could mass multiply and how could they keep track of the reptile population then? Would never happen no way they could and they think they have loose snakes in Florida, imagine 300,000 freaked out pet owners releasing their snakes back into the wild.

don't really know of any place in the states they could survive for long outside of southern florida. But yeah, I get your point.

Well I won't be releasing my animals lol. Unlike some people i am stubborn and have authority issues lol. I don't listen to our government to begin with so why would I listen to a snake ban.

black market here i come. LOL We could start a website called Darkside Non Reptiles and Hypothetically talk about animals we used to have and what we "wish" we were breeding and what kind of problems we could have ran into. Yeah, that's the ticket!
