breeding questions
« on: February 01, 2010, 07:50:56 PM »
So I have a pair of Burms that are about 2 years old.  They have been caged together their entire lives so far.  What should be the process of seperating them if I want them to breed next year?

There really is no process to separate them.  They really never should have been housed together to begin with.  As long as they are the right size next year you can start trying to introduce your male to the female for a week or so at a time until you notice courting.  They will do the rest.  LOL

If you want some more specific answers feel free to shoot me a PM.

the process is get two appropriate enclosures, and make sure they're set up properly. And put one in each. lol, Welcome to the Dark Side.  :devil26:

Thanks..lol.  What I mean is if they are not seperated and conditions are adjusted for breeding next year, would they breed?  Would they fight to the death?  What?

If you don't seperate them they'll not be interested in eachother when they hit breeding age. It'd be like kissing your sister man.
