Lets See Those Setups!
« on: December 09, 2009, 01:18:05 PM »
Hey guys, I was just looking through this section and thought we should have a thread that everyone can post their setups/herp room pics in. I'm curious ;) So show off those setups! I'll start...

This is where my geckos and one of my tarantulas live. The cages on the rack are R-Zilla Acrylic Atriums. Then there is an 18x18 Exo Terra on the floor, some Sterilites and the tarantula is in the little acrylic 5 gallon.

This next picture is my mountain of tubs. Not that fancy but its functional! That is where my snakes and leopard geckos live.

Next is my 3 tarantula slings and various jars waiting to fill.

Next is my weasel mansion :)

and my latest addition, my 3 mice. They are litter trained, hehe. This aquarium hasn't found a proper place yet, running low on space.

There you have it. I'd like to get a rack for the snakes at some point, but loose tubs work well enough for me I suppose. Gives me more choices of where I can put things, lol.

Here's mine; I've updated it a bit since my post containing my setups.   ;)

My glass tank setups:

Again, no longer a heat rock--cord's been cut off and the sharp edges filed down; just for decoration now:

Stackables and their progression as I've added more:

Bought the first two together:

With a glass tank on top:

Eventually added a divided stackable to the stack:

Wound up re-arranging them a bit since the hole where the cord for the light comes out was large enough for the snakes I had in the divided ones (they are sub-adults) to get out--so the divided one got moved down one level. ;)  I eventually added yet another divided one:

Once I added the 2nd divided stackable, I would up moving the glass tank on top to another spot; here's the four stackables together:

Hatchling rack and incubators:

Tub setups:

1.3 Normals, 2.1 100% Het Albinos, 1.0 Spider, 1.0 Butter (yet to arrive), 1.0 Piebald, 0.1 Orange Ghost, 0.1 Lesser, 0.1 Cinnamon Pastel Ringer

Okay well mine isn't as fancy as most but it works.  I have two ball pythons in sterilite tubs with uth's laying beneath them (not actually taped to the bottom of the tubs) hooked up to dimmer switches and into surge protector.  I also have a 40 gallon breeder acquarium that Boots, the BCI, stays in which is a uth actually stuck to the bottom also hooked up to a dimmer switch and into a seperate surge protector.  I will be investing in a rack for the balls, but that's waiting for now until tax money since school is going to be sucking up money that I had planned on using for the rack.  Below are pics of them.

The balls' tubs which are on my computer desk which kind of is consumed by the tubs and then random stuff/junk that gets put there (lotion, vitamins, etc lol).  I have taken a full pic of them and also a pic of Angel's tub with his uth which measures about 1/3 of the tub (Patsy's has a bigger uth but also measure about 1/3 of the tub).

Also a picture of the dimmer switch hooked into the surge protector:

And here's Boots cage and you can see below the table where his surge protector is hooked up into the surge protector:

Thanks much!  They definitely have plenty of room to move around.  I feel like that helps them thermoregulate--I know not everyone agrees with me and prefers their tubs, but I really like the stackables.  Take up less space, but are still somewhat nice displays. ;)

Love the setup's!!  Everyone does things differently, but in the end if your animals are healthy and stay healthy & happy, that's all that matters!!
