Newbie
« on: October 12, 2009, 02:31:56 AM »
I just found this website last night, I was looking for information on Western Diamondbacks, after I found two newborns at work. I have had reptiles for twenty plus years but having Diamondbacks is like learning a hobby all over again. Dealing with HOTS is completely different than dealing the meanest coachwhip. The post I have read seem like pretty down to earth people, some in the herp community can be pretty pompous. How do I post a picture? :newhere:

If you have a photobucket account, you can copy/paste the image code that it lists.

very nice!!! Looks like you have it under control! Since it is wild caught I would probably use news paper for awhile, but thats just me!

Did I already say that they give a nasty bite? feels like you are dipping your hand in a deep fryer! I was bitten years ago by an adult red-phase WD, hurt very very very, did I say very? Bad! good luck babys are hard to move around! I used a fryer tong with a WD baby I had years ago, they were long enough to keep the snake away from bite range!
