that's what it seemed like happened with her. she didn't regurgitate. It was like she had a gas bubble in her stomach and when I picked her up to dry her after her bath, it popped and up came that nasty smelling crap. I don't think her R.I. is flaired up either, I think all of the goo came out of her stomach, but I'm keeping her in the quarentine and I'll be taking her to the vet when she sheds out just to make sure.

I had a similar situation with my RTB about 6 months ago and was told it was caused by the rat not digesting properly and more or less was beginning to "fester" in her stomach. She puked on me when I picked her up and was a little swollen in the stomach area before and not after. The color was the same as you described and smelled like puke that was eaten and thrown up again,it was bad. I was told that the regurgitation could have been caused if she had just taken a drink,which she had,and then the sudden pressure on the swollen area,which was on my shoulder at the time. I have had no problem since then and was basically told if there is another occurence to bring her in to be checked out. Hope this helps a little.

Clean bill of health. Not even an R.I.! all the mucus was from the "puke". The vet said it was basically a gas bubble kind of thing. And the same thing, if anything else happens, bring her back. Well I'm relieved. One less thing I have to worry about for now.

also, I'd have a look at feeder quality with that type of thing happening too. Not sure where you're getting your feeders from.

By all means, go ahead and move it. I only stuck it there because I knew more people would see it there, lol.
I had just bought my feeders the week before, I had gotten then from someone new, but they seemed fine, frozen solid, no bad smell, no funny spots, not freezer burned. She hadn't had a nice sized meal in a while though. I had ran out of Larges and was giving her 2 mediums instead for a while, so maybe that contributed. Thanks for the support everyone!

yeah sometimes it's hard to tell. But if you are what you eat.... and some breeders are just feeding their rabbits generic pellets or dog food... and then we feed them to our snakes, some things might not agree there.

Just FYI if you feed rabbits dog food they'll die to much protein in dog food my wife killed her pet bunny by accident  and thats  what the vet said the reason of death was. sorry to hijack this thread just throwing out some useless info lol I also wanted to add I hope you boa gets well fast and soon! good luck keep us updated!
