donnie the african soft furreds are easy to get in my state, in fact alot of people just plain give them away in most cases.  as far as prices i go with rat breeders, but for feeders they are usually cheaper dealing with the smaller size of the animal

smaller? that's not good either... you're going about it the wrong way man... that's like giving a kid cake because he won't eat his vegetables. like I said... if it's down to that or starvation, by all means, do it... but from what I've seen... once a snake is eating ASF, it won't eat ANYTHING else... just a bad idea unless you are sticking with 3 foot snakes.

well if you look it, asf rats are a natural prey source for balls, the big ones are about the size of a large rat but don't get up to jumbo size but they are fine for feeding ball pythons since balls are a smaller snake themselves. oh well, i'm just trying to throw out the fact that if u can't get your ball to eat they will eat a asf

exposing the brain of the rat sometimes helps and laying a frozen thawed on the snakes back might work too.
