Not to  :stirthepot: but i don't see the jungles floors in Indonesia covered with news paper or contractors paper either. I feel  that one way of doing things works for one person and not for another just my opinion.

You got me confused... I don't even pretend to try to keep them in a "natural setting"... I was just saying that some people think keeping them on cypress mulch mimics their natural environment, and frankly I don't believe it does. In other words it's an invalid reason. IMO

Cypress mimics nothing but cypress mulch, we will never be able to provide a natural environment for them, unless we chip all our animals and send them home.  However, i think we can provide them with a more enriched and stimulating "captive" environment.

From what I remember of the forrest floor in central America, mulch is close. Now as far as Asia goes I would have to go by what I see online and on National Geographic Channel and HDTV Network ,but its in the right neigborhood.

Is anybody going to start a new thread for this? Like I said, I did the mulch thing for 21 years before I learned better... I'm no n00b. But again, as long as the animal is healthy, it doesn't matter and people will believe what they wanna believe. I would love to sit and debate apples and oranges with you guys, but this thread is not a thread about that, it's a young lady that started asking about different types of paper, and someone else decided to step in and say "cypress mulch". Let's let her have this thread back and start another one in the husbandry section or something for this topic.

I don't know much about the indented kraft paper, but in my opinion (lol, not gettin carried away just stating mine), I would stick with white papertowels or unprinted newspaper.  I don't like when the ink gets wet.  Just personal preference though ;)

...I use to read on-line news in abnormous quantity and it IS NOT possible to put 'em in snakes cages !! LMFSAO !! ]  ;D



And please....do not answer that snakes are used to shed so the DAMN INK can not be danger for them....please !!  :nono:
