The rest said they were not sure yet, or didn't answer the question.  That's a really bad ratio.  If you are still thinking that this thing is going to fail without your active participation, think again.  We really need to push with the phone calls today in the next two hours.  Remember, they are on Eastern Time.  It's too late for mail, even through the PIJAC contact.  They discuss this TOMORROW.  Your calls directly to these Reps is the only substantive thing left to do at this point in time.

It's time for a BIG push.  It was easy to call, took 45 sec per member.  Just a quick, "I am calling to express my strong opposition to HR669." will do.  A couple will ask your name, a couple will ask what state/zip you are calling from.  That's it.

Sorry to post this in general discussion, but this is the eleventh hour.  I just got one of my friends here at work to call them and he doesn't even have exotics.  Please, put your finger on the phone.

I got three that said they definately opposed the bill and 1 that said it was highly probable that he would oppose the bill.

Definate opposers of the bill were:
Henry Brown
Jason Chaffetz
Robert J. Wittman

They all said they opposed Monday, so I have called them every day to thank them for opposing the bill.  (Yea I know I'm a kiss up! lol)

The probable guy is Jeff Flake, he opposed similar legislation last year and his rep on the phone didn't see anything that would have changed his mind between now and then.

Just got this email from a representative from Repticon.  This is very serious and we can still call from 8-10 am which is a lot of time for us to voice our opinions!!!

Email states:

HOT OFF THE PRESS: PHONE CALLS MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
admin Phone Calls 2009-04-22
Just got off the phone with Representative Kildees office.  Representative Kildee is a co-sponsor of HR 669 as well as a member of the Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans & Wildlife. The staffer said that Rep Kildee is rethinking his position based on the volume of phone calls his office is receiving that are opposed to HR 669.
A staffer in another of the Representatives offices said that they had gotten more phone calls about HR 669 than the Economic Stimulus bill!!!
Here is a list of all 23 Subcommittee Members that is all over the internet … we’ve added the latest information that we have about where they stand and feedback from our callers around the country. The accounts in red are third party information that may or may not be 100% accurate … but if we heard the same thing from 5 or more people about a call with a Representatives office, we felt that it would be ok to share.
Keep calling! Today and tomorrow morning too! The hearing is at 10AM EST, you can call right up to the hearing!
Remember, PLEASE be polite and PLEASE be respectful. Don’t be afraid to ask how many calls they’ve gotten or where the Representative stands on the issue, you are allowed. Do not forget to thank them for their time when you’re done.
Great job everyone, keep it up!

We hope so, but it's up to the lawmen.  It seems that the phone calls/emails have done some help so we'll see today.
