It really depends on size and weight of the snake in question...  ;)

Basically I am thinking of selling my two younger snakes my bci and ball python and I wanted to get the shipping stuff down so I can tell whom ever is interested in them what the shipping would be. Both are 6 months old and under 3ft weight is unknown atm.

if you plan on shipping more than once or twice, may as well get certified with fedex

Fen.. I've tried all the shipping folks ..and I have to say, FedEx is my preferred carrier ......after Delta Dash, of course (but this is more for the really BIG kids ..or the really fragile ..either way)

If you plan to get certified with FedEx, start NOW ..it's a pretty lengthy process    :-\

I found a post on another site that decribed what you have to do to get certified with FedEx thats why I asked if there was an easier way lol. But I guess I should get certified for when I do breed my older red tails. I just wish there was an easier way.

Use shipyourreptiles.com :) No certification necessary and they sell all of the supplies you need right on the website. You pay for your shipping label online, print it out and can use it whenever you need to. You can print it up to 30 days after you pay for it, and you can print it as many times as you need to in that time (of course, you can only use that label once!). I just used them last week and everything went perfect. Hope that helps.

No problem guys! Yea, I'm on Fauna a lot and they were going crazy about it (in a good way) when the site first went live so I figured I'd give it a shot. It is very awesome! Not only is it easy, it is 30% cheaper than regular UPS rates (actually more for me) and is even cheaper than Fedex (I've even heard people who get 10% off of their Fedex rates say this!). I hope it is permanent, the reptile community has needed something like this for a long time!
