cool, now to get the temp gun and find out if that gives you a perfect 90 degrees on the floor inside the tote  :goodjob:

Looking good!  The hardware store light dimmer switch is always a cheap alternative to the expensive dimmer switches sold as reptile specialty items.

As an added safety you may want to get an electrical box to house the switch and wire nutted wires.  Most boxes will have clamps that hold the incoming wires on each side.  I've seen a couple unsecured wire nutted wires come apart under load by a little bit more tug than usual and cause all kinds of arcs and sparks sometimes ending with a blown breaker or fire, sometimes starting a fire late at night, and other times just coming apart with no other ill effects.

Not to worry man, my technical advice comes cheap!   :givebeer:

On a side note I am having way too much fun with the new smiley face stuff!!!  :snake2:

actually I wired the dimmer switch and sent it to him because he wasn't sure he understood how... it'll work fine, just don't tug on it... I actually used that one for quite awhile

I wasn't sure of the knowledge of the person putting it together.  I was an electrician in the Airforce and have been working pretty much in the power production industry since I got out.  You would not beleive some of the scary things I've seen people do with wire nuts!  lol

Nice setup I want to setup something like that! How would I go about wiring the dimmer? I see dimmers in Home Depot for less then $10, but Im not sure how to use it, I know its a little harder to set the temp since its not digital but I would prefer getting one of those then spending over $100 on another stat.
