try some 20 inch hemostats... she's probably picking up the heat signature from your hand which is too big obviously... this gets your hand farther away so she can identify the rat alone... and make sure the rat is at least 98.6 degrees.... (our body temp) though 100 degrees might be more like it...

i deffinately  bet a larger prey item is whta this girls wanting  (at the least agood size medium). Just because a rodent is small doesn;t mean (live now) that it will do less damage  infact to small a prey item thats live can atualy do more damage then the larger prey item.

Both donnie and lady blood rose have some great statement's. But I have to agree with Albino python, there are some picky eater's! Try it the way that I have found to work very well. My retic wont eat F/T for nothing. So what I have found to be very ideal and fufilling is to kill the prey for them fresh. Like since you're feeding rat's, all you have to do is cautiously catch the rat by the neck, squeeze and pull it's tail until you hear it's spine break. The rat will stay alive but imobilized long enough for the snake to grasp it. Give it a try and let us know! Goodluck! :party2:
