My First Clutch..
« on: April 01, 2009, 09:52:04 PM »
Woo Hoo..I am so excited.
Out of my three girls that I have been pairing up..my normal laid eggs.
I was trying to feel for them the other day, and with this being my first season, I wasn’t for sure what I was actually feeling for..lol
I thought that I had felt 5 eggs, and sure enough she laid 5.
On all days..April fools day..but no fooling here.

I got so excited I had to call my good friend..Chuck..he just assured me that I was doing things right.
I usually do..he says..but I always second guess myself. I just like to be sure of things.

Well I weighed the clutch..496 grams.
I wanted to get them away from Ramsey..mother..and get them in incubator as soon as possible.
I done that and got her tub and herself cleaned up.

So now I can breath a little..lol.
Sorry I didn’t take pictures but will soon.

Just wanted to share the wonderful news.
Never been so excited like this in a long time.
Mike (boyfriend) keeps laughing and shaking his head.
I kind a feel like my first kid just had a baby..lol.

Very pretty none the less!  Should make some nice babies.

Baby snakes are baby snakes, my wife would be happy to have one egg in the incubator right now.  lol

Well Thanks for the nice comments.
The female..Ms. Ramsey..I got her from a vet. I use to work with his daughter at Petsmart, when I trainer dogs.
But the kids had the snake as a pet..and they grew up and went to college. I guess mom didn't like snakes and didn't want it anymore. So the vet just gave her to me.

Then Mr. Stremme..a lady from a different forum had him and I just paid for shipping.
So not too bad either.
In person, they both have some cool coloring and patterns to them. The camera just doesn't pick up on those things. Plus I don't take good pictures either..lol

This is my first year at breeding..so I am beyond excited about the whole thing.
I just hope that I do everything right..and they all hatch out ok.

Thanks again everyone.
I will keep you all posted..that is for sure.
