Sumatran Blood Python Growth Record
« on: March 31, 2009, 09:40:11 PM »
Well I figured since I didn't see any Sumatran blood python records I would start this one here and try and update every month.

We did not measure their length when they came in so the most recent length info we have is for today.  As for Weights here is what they arrived at on 2-18-2009 (I know it will not be long until we measure in pounds with these ones, but for now grams work.)
Vlad (Male Sumatran Blood Het for T+ Albino) = 246 grams on 2-18-2009
Tasha (Female Sumatran Blood) = 146 grams on 2-18-2009

Vlad on 3-31-2009
String length = 28"
Weight = 362 grams
Just would not straighten out for picture

Tasha on 3-31-2009
String Length = 25.5"
Weight = 297 grams
Half way decently straight for picture

Beautiful kids you've got there ;) I might start a growth thread on my little Sumatran gal, come to think of it. It will be interesting to see how fast she grows compared to yours! When were yours born?

Thanks for the comment.  I did forget the DOB in the first post.   :sign7:

We don't have exact days just months.
Vlad was a July 2008 Baby
Tasha was an August 2008 Baby

Ahh cool, my Sumatran was born in June 08. I need to go measure her, lol!

You can start your own thread or if you want you can keep your records here as well.  That way we can gather a larger amount of Blood python growth records in one place, particularly since all three are around the same age.  That way we can get on each others case also if one of us forget to post a monthly update!  lol

Haha, I just measured her, she is about 24-25 inches. A bit smaller than yours, but the Sumatrans are the smallest of the 3 species :) I'm going to start a thread later, but figured I'd tell ya! lol.

And religion, like the monster that it is
Keeps telling you to turn the other cheek
God is on your side, but I don't think that you're on his,
If Jesus showed up now he'd be in jail by next week !!!

We got weights and lengths on them after one month.  No new pictures at this time as we were trying to get stuff done early.

Vlad was 470 grams and still 28" in length

Tasha was 365 grams and was 26" in length

After they digest their most recent meal for a couple of days we will get pictures.
