WTF is an Anaconda Emerald Tree Boa??
« on: March 30, 2009, 05:11:40 PM »
Anyone ever heard of these?? I just got Tom Crutchfeilds news letter in my e-mail today, and he's advertising them for sale:

"1.5 ANACONDA EMERALD TREE BOAS (Corallus caninus) '09 c.b. neonates - EXTREMELY RARE  $675 each"

Anyone know anything about them? I can't find anything on them...
Cheers!

Im not sure if its a proven mutation or randomly occuring, but basically its an emerald with little to no white at all, replaced by dark spots similar to a green anaconda's markings!  Not as nice as the high white basin's or even patternless in my humble opinion!  I hope this helps!

Judd to save the day! Do you have any idea who else works with them, or where I could find pictures? Can you tell if they are Anaconda ETB's in the red/neonate stage?

P.S. I'll kill to have a Basin. That's one of my dream snakes.
Cheers!

From that site: http://www.d-g-s.com/daemons/morphs.htm

"Anaconda Phase Northern: This morph displays well defined dark-green to black circular blotches liberally along the entire length of the dorsal surface. As with all emeralds, bluish lateral striping in the transitional area between the dorsal and ventral scales may be present as well as white or yellow lateral markings. Ventral scales are most often a uniformly creamy yellow and the dorsal surface a rich lime green. Animals displaying the least amount of darkening along the anterior dorsal ridge while retaining distinctly outlined blotching are considered to be of superior confirmation. ..
