Great looking cal king. She looks to be about the right size for a yearling.  How often are you feeding her?

That thing could easily take hoppers.  My baby cal king eats hoppers, and so does my FL king.  You could try a hopper once every 5 to 7 days if you want.

She struggles on pinkies? my lord. :)  Maybe the f/t hoppers i get are just small? lol.  The f/t pinkies that i get are REALLY small. I feed them to my baby corn snakes and dont' even have to cut them in half.  and my baby corn snake eats three of them once a week.  To ME, she looks like a healthy snake. If you're concerned about putting weight on her, monitor her intake, she should LOOK like she ate something, then monitor her digestion and excrement.  See how long it takes for the pinkie to pass through her system, then feed her again.  If you are only doing two pinkie mice, every 4 to 6 days would be good for a baby kingsnake.  How often is she shedding? What type of enclosure is she in? do you keep her at a higher or cooler temp? Some people prefer to keep kings in the mid 70s, while other prefer low 80s.

at the moment it's harder for me to monitor such things.... see.. my mom didn't know abut this snake for the longest becuase she'd have killed me and it if she did... ever since we started this moving process shes been living at the reptile store with my friend who owns it and hes taking care of her for me.
she lives in that long critter keeper type cage that she is on top of in that last pic, temps are generally high 70's to low 80's (thats room temperature here heh). i cant say how often she sheds but i find full sheds in her cage pretty often when i get around to see her.
like i said she eats 3 day old pinks, they are usually the size right before fuzzies, she does have a lump in her belly after she eats  and wont take a fuzzy even though i've tried, my corn of rouchly the same size would take em no problem but i figure they are built mor to eat rodents and kings are built to eat other snakes so i didn't really see this as a problem that shes still refusing larger meals....
she doesn't seem skinny or malnourished at all and im not terribly worried i just am not certain of how fast kings grow and what her size should be.

Well, those are the right conditions.  :) you shouldn't have to worry.  She will get bigger eventually. California kings are one of the smaller kingsnake species. they usually get 3 to 4' avarage with 5 being BIG for a cal king.
